Purple Gradient, Empty Dashboard, Twelve Fonts: The Slop Starter Pack
The five defaults that show up together on almost every AI built app. Spot them, kill them.

There is a starter pack. If your app was built with AI, it almost certainly shipped with some of it, because these five defaults travel together. Here is the pack, and the one line fix for each.
1. The purple to blue gradient
The signature. It is on the hero, sometimes the buttons, occasionally the whole background. Kill it: one flat, decided brand color. A gradient is a default. A color is a choice.
2. The empty dashboard
The shell shipped before the data, so new users hit blank cards and assume it broke. Kill it: one sentence and one button in every empty state. Ten minutes, and the "is this broken" doubt is gone.
3. Twelve fonts fighting
A slightly different typeface per screen, because nobody set a global. Kill it: one typeface, two weights, everywhere.
4. The identical page skeleton
Hero, three feature cards, pricing, footer, in that exact order, on ten thousand sites. It is even part of the documented pattern set. Kill it: lead with your strongest specific proof, not a generic feature triptych. Break the order on purpose.
5. Filler verbs
Streamline, empower, supercharge, elevate. The audience reads these as slop markers now, not benefits. Kill it: replace each with the concrete outcome for a specific person.
Why the pack is good news
The slop starter pack is a gift in disguise, because it is predictable. The same five things, on almost every app, with the same five fixes. You are not facing an open ended design problem. You are facing a checklist you can clear in an afternoon, which is the whole argument of slop is death by a thousand unmade decisions: make a few on purpose and you are past most of the market.
