Teardown: A Reader's App, Live Scored

You send the URL, I run the sixty second read in public, you get the fix list.

July 30, 2026

This one is for you. Every teardown so far has used my read on the wild web. Today I want to score a reader's app in public, the way I would score my own, so you can see the whole method land on a real product instead of a hypothetical.

How the teardown works

Send the URL. I run the sixty second score: the pattern flash, the clarity read, the tell sweep, the human check. I write down the band and the specific tells, then I hand back the fix list in priority order. No roast, no vibes, just the number and the pixels.

What I am looking for, in order

  1. The flash. Does it clear the fifty millisecond trust read or does it read as the last forty demos.
  2. The ten second test. Can a stranger say what it does and who it is for. This is where most vibe coded pages lose people, on a vague hero.
  3. The tells. Run the twelve tell checklist and count.
  4. The proof. Is there a face, a number, a real screenshot, or is it anonymous.

Why do this in public

Two reasons. First, watching a real teardown teaches the method better than any checklist, because you see the judgment happen. Second, it is the whole build in public bet: the audience is the founders who feel the slop shame, and nothing serves them like seeing someone else's app get fixed without cruelty.

Want yours next? Reply with the URL, or skip the line and run it through auditmy.design to get the same read as a number and a pinned list, today.
